Craig Considine’s Beyond Dialogue is a very interesting volume which looks at the historical and theological relationship between the Abrahamic religions from the past to the present day through the lens of highly relevant case studies.
One of the fascinating aspects of Considine’s work is its focus on the genesis and the evolution of the DEUCE model. In Considine’s world, the acronym DEUCE stands for Dialogue, Education, Understanding, Commitment, and Engagement. One might add: what is the fascination of DEUCE in the first place? DEUCE certainly dominates the entire book when Considine maps historical events and inter-religious initiatives from the past to the present, putting them to the absolute test, to establish the negative or positive outcomes that have been achieved.
