Review
God is One, as for the rest of creation, there is some kind of duality which can be experienced and observed in a myriad of ways and forms. Light and darkness, hot and cold, sweet and sour are some examples of how this duality expresses itself. Humans exhibit this duality as well. They have good and bad traits. They can be honest and dishonest. It is this duality which leads people on a continuous search for perfection and meaning. Moreover, being truthful is a universal concern and encompasses the individual’s thoughts, words and deeds. Its significance can also be gauged by the fact that it is a recurring ethical concern of the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Mair, following a career in law and academia, is a well-established author based in the United States of America with several successful books to her credit in different genres. Zak and His Little Lies follows her earlier book with the title Zak and his Good Intentions. This fiction is based on an important subject matter for the proper upbringing of children. It can be introduced at home, in madrasas and schools.
