Many authors writing for Muslim audiences have been searching for ways to explore issues of identity, values, faith and spirituality. As a result, literature aimed at Muslims has matured and expanded to become considerably more diverse, thus catering for broader interests. With the proliferation of books in the market, it is important for Muslim parents and adults to capitalise on this and habituate their young to be fond of literature. The book under review, recommended for children above four years of age, is a wonderful addition to the genre of character and faith development. The story explores the tension between pleasing everyone and ensuring that duties and rights are not neglected. It is also about families and togetherness. Importantly, it is about God-given conscience which can assist in overriding ulterior inner thoughts.
