Review
This is a refreshingly short book through which the reader discovers the joys of [Umrah in the company of a brother and sister who visit Makkah and then Madinah with their parents.
It is a wonderfully illustrated children’s book, recommended for 4 years olds and above. Beginning with a helpful note, the Publishers remind parents and teachers that the story is a purely inspirational and semi-fictional narrative. To facilitate the learning process nine helpful points have been offered, one of which emphasizes that it is not a fiqh book.
In brief, it describes a personal experience of performing [Umrah from a child’s point of view. The glossary adds value and meaning to the text, while the additional poster and paper dolls reinforce learning. Key Arabic terms, which lay the foundations for knowing and identifying some of the indispensable rituals, are transliterated within the storyline.
