This book is packed full of facts relating to efforts to green the economies of the Arab Gulf. It is the result of a workshop at the University of Cambridge UK in 2014, so there are two years unaccounted for since then. Books like this, with so many authors providing articles, are slow to produce, but no doubt there is more recent information online for those who want to use the book as a resource base, and each article has an extensive bibliography. The very short index is nowhere near adequate to navigating the amount of information given. However, researchers with institutional affiliations can access the text online via their library facilities, which should make it easier to search. The authors of the articles are young and not so young, internationally high-achieving academics and experts, about half of whom have Muslim/Arab names, with the rest ranging from European to Indian. As for the editors, M. Abdel Raouf works for the Gulf Research Centre and UNEP and Mari Luomi at the Oxford institute for Energy Studies...
