Imagine this scene: a huge bulldozer making a horrible jerking noise in a backyard with its enormous steel blade heading to destroy a tree, which is a symbol of Fairfax County; out of the compound, on one side of the street, there is a dog chasing Bobby, Amani and Hude, who are racing desperately to get to the backyard; Mr Carr, running as fast as his feet can carry him, having had his hi-wheel cycle crushed, is not far behind them; not far away, a loud whine of a siren is heard barrelling down the street; suddenly, a mayor jumps out of the fire engine followed by the fire chief, Mrs Carr and her son Jimmy; just then, Mr Fenby pulls up in a pick-up with Mrs Moore sitting next to him and grandma Hana next to her; in the long bed at the back of this vehicle, there are seven other people all dashing towards the same backyard. In the midst of all this commotion, an archer, whose target is sixty meters away, reaches for his quiver and in a one fluid motion nocks the arrow, draws the bow, anchors it, takes aim and lets the string push his finger out of the way. Bobby, Amani and Hude watch as the arrow, taking with it an important message, rips through the air. The suction cup is expected to hit its intended target and save the treasured peach tree. The three gaze with hope in the distance.
