The first two volumes of this book are the abridged translations of the full work by the author, written in 1993. The original six volumes consisted of 1800 pages, with the abridged version consisting of 8 volumes in 1250 pages. The last two volumes of the abridged version were completed by Dr Muhammad al- Mahdi al-Badri due to the death of the author, may Allah be pleased with him.

The collection was written in response to the authors observations in relation to the subjugation of the rights of Muslim women. Strikingly, volume one commences with a direct appeal to the scholars. Therefore, the author carefully gathers Prophetic traditions from Muslim and Bukhari in order to avoid conflict within the sources he used.
