Abortion in the post-modern world is one of the important socio-ethical issues. Modernity has given birth to a society in which several complex bio-ethical issues have emerged which are causing a real social and moral crisis. Women empowerment and individualism define personal privacy as total autonomy for women and, as such, women empowerment allows a would-be mother to decide the fate of her foetus as part of her body.
