Nevertheless, human beings, curious as they are, have ventured into discerning and unearthing their secrets to consolidate their certitude and truth claims and to convince others of the promises and claims made by the Qur’an and Prophetic traditions.

Mohammed R. Rahman has penned this insightful book as a useful guide to anyone who wants to focus on the spiritual mapping of the human soul through Islam. It was written at a time of uncertainty and turmoil due to the Covid pandemic of 2020 when he had embraced solitude and silence as never done before. The author stayed at home and only went outside to stare at the sunrise and sunset, causing him to reflect inwardly and produce this work.

In other words, the author has drawn not only on his common knowledge but on his contemplation, insight and experience to dig deeper into the psychospiritual reasoning of the five pillars of Islam. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, each pillar is accorded a chapter. Moreover, the 99 names of Allah feature which, according to the author, diversify one’s understanding of God and the cosmic reality in space and time. Thereafter a glossary and some information about the book and the author feature. In his role as Imam, chaplain and peace activist the book is intended to appeal to both Muslims and the general public alike.
