These two books present short episodes from Qur’anic stories in an ageappropriate style. The vivid illustrations also make the book attractive to children, who are the target audience. This volume recounts stories chronologically, from the creation of the universe to the birth of the Prophet [Isa (peace and blessing be upon him). The author is to be lauded for his lucid language and suitable vocabulary. The stories are condensed into half a page, with a few concluding remarks which sum up the intended message, making it all the more simple to understand. To each story is appended a Qur’anic verse which is linked thematically to it, although in the case of the story of Habil and Qabil, the verse does not match the contents of the story.
