Married Ever After by Ali Hammuda is a profound marriage guide rooted in Qurʾānic principles—not always marriage-specific verses (āyāt), but also universal instructions on how Allāh commands the believers to treat one another. Hammuda applies these timeless values to the marital relationship, offering a deeply spiritual and practical approach to marriage.

The book treats marriage with the gravity it deserves—not as a one-day event, but as a lifelong act of worship and commitment. While the chapters flow naturally from one to the next, the content is organised into four key parts: (1) preparing for marriage by setting intentions and criteria, using Prophetic guidance to help single individuals reflect deeply before choosing a spouse and understanding the difference between men and women; (2) strengthening the marital bond by drawing from Qurʾānic themes of love, mercy, mutual consultation, fair treatment, understanding leadership and gratitude between spouses; (3) navigating challenges by tackling conflict resolution, emotional regulation, forgiveness, and seeking Allāh’s help during hardships; and (4) dissolving a marriage with dignity by recognising that some marriages may come to an end, offering guidance on how to navigate that process with dignity, within the boundaries set by Allah, while keeping hope in Him and remaining open to unexpected outcomes.
