Christine Fair attempts to present another haranguing exposé of Pakistan, in her latest yet relentless pursuit of exposing the intimate relationship between the Pakistani military and terrorist organisations. Fair, who has been banned from Pakistan since 2013 for engaging in activities of sedition and possible espionage, has admitted to receiving funding and fellowships from Indian think tanks, such as the Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA) in New Delhi, which is directly funded by the Indian Ministry of Defence and headed by a Director General from the Indian Foreign Services. Any scholar with a semblance of grounding in the socio-political landscape of the region will be familiar with Fair’s tendency to propagate the narrative of the right-wing BJP and its paternal organisation the self-proclaimed xenophobic Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). It is claimed that in 2008, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT), a pseudo-religious cum military militia under direct command of the Pakistani armed forces executed the terrorist attacks on civilian installations in Mumbai.
