Review

This book, by a professional physicist, advocates a view that goes beyond the normal focus of the usual assault on Muslims. Instead of considering radical Islamic movements, such as al-Qaeda, the Taliban and Hezbollah, as the only enemies of the West, the author extends his list to include Islamic political movements as well as the nations (and their citizens) that sponsor them. The author mentions clearly that the nations that sponsor Islamic political movements, and hence radical Islam, whether directly or indirectly, include Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran. He calls these three Muslim nations “the axis of jihad”. The aim of Islamic political movements sponsored by these three nations, the author states, is the conquest of the unbelievers. He believes that the ideology of political Islam has spawned a worldwide movement whose intent is a violent conquest of non-Muslims, India mainly.
