Any written piece on the 2008 global financial crisis is unlikely to be obsolete; the reason is basically because of numerous perspectives on how the financial calamities shook up the essentials pillars of global economy. This work attempts to provide a ‘fresh’ look on how the 2008 financial crisis could have been dealt with by a set of frameworks offered by Islamic economics. Looking at the author’s credentials, particularly his educational background and experience, one would expect this piece to be a ‘one time’ unparalleled experience. Apart from the introduction, the book is divided into four parts, namely, the delicateness of capitalism, the credit crunch, Islamic economics as a solution to financial crisis and a conclusion.
